The Covenant Fund

“In the morning, sow your seed,
and at evening withhold not your hand,
for you do not know which will prosper,
or whether both alike may be good.” Ecclesiastes 11:6

In 2008, the Presbytery of Philadelphia created The Covenant Fund from the proceeds of the sale of the former Church of the Covenant in Bala Cynwyd. The purpose of this Fund, as it has been established, is to provide financial resource to ministry projects within the Presbytery of Philadelphia that creatively promote church development in the arenas of urban ministry, immigrant ministry and missional partnerships. Applications from Churches and committees within the Presbytery are considered for grants of up to $25,000 a year.

There is change for the Covenant Fund for 2012. The Immigrant Ministry Applications will be accepted quarterly instead of annually. Information  and Applications for Immigrant Ministry projects will be available in early May.

Urban Ministry and Missional Partnership grant applications will be available no later than February 1, 2012.  Grant Applications must be submitted electronically no later than midnight, Sunday March 11, 2012. No applications will be accepted after March 11. Grant awards will be made in early May.
