SOCIAL WITNESS
We are called to witness to the living truth of God’s mercy and to advocate for those in underprivileged circumstances as we seek to answer God’s call to do justice. Some of the ways in which we live out that call as a Presbytery are through the Direct Food program, the Care Closets, and the ongoing efforts coordinated by our Hunger Action Enabler, the Rev. Schaunel Steinnagel, as well as the efforts of our Peacemaking Committee. The Peacemaking Committee is involved with the Israel/Palestine Mission Network, Heeding God’s Call, the Synod Peacemaking Committee, and the Peacemaking Offering of the PC (USA).
