Stewardship is about making choices, as individuals and in community. It is more than giving money to the church. Stewardship is about being faithful disciples, caring for and managing all that God has given us.

Stewardship is not just one part of Christian discipleship; it involves every aspect of life in all the stages of life.

Stewardship is the grateful response to God’s grace and goodness. It requires a consideration of how our choices affect us and others, of how we can be good caretakers of the created world, and of how we can best serve God as disciples of Christ.

 Stewardship is Discipleship is the NEW Presbytery of Philadelphia
Congregational Stewardship Cluster.

Congregations will come together six times over a two year period to learn about different aspects of Congregational and Personal Stewardship.

Stewardship Event 1 – June 2 – 8:30 am to Noon – Church on the Mall
Cheerful Giving: The Stewardship Emphasis

Stewardship Event 2 – September 8- 8:30 am to Noon – Church on the Mall
The Theology of Stewardship: Talking about Stewardship in the Congregation

Stewardship Event 3 – Date to be announced – 8:30 am to Noon
Teaching Stewardship: Developing Stewards in the Church

Stewardship Event 4 – Date to be announced – 8:30 am to Noon    
   Financial Management at home and Church

Stewardship Event 5 – Date to be announced – 8:30 am to Noon
Planned Giving: Thinking long term about the future

Stewardship Event 6 – Date to be announced – 8:30 am to Noon
Serving from the heart: Discipleship and Stewardship

Who should attend?

• ·         Pastors
• ·         Stewardship/Finance Committee members
• ·         Ruling Elders
• ·         Church trustees
• ·         Church Leaders interested in stewardship

Each congregation is encouraged to participate with a team of church leaders

Costs:

All participating congregations must sign up for the full two year cluster program

$240 for all 6 events for congregations with average worship size of 50 or less
$360 for all 6 events for congregations with average worship size of 51 to 125
$480 for all 6 events for congregations with average worship size over 125

The fee can be paid in full at event 1 or one half paid at event 1 and one half at event 4.
