Information for Care Closets
Greetings from Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Philadelphia:
Appreciation is expressed to all who responded with current contact information.
Again, we are writing to offer you clarity as to the responsibility of the organized groups ready to assist you with your ministry to food insecure individuals.
You will continue to contact Betsi Moise at the Presbytery Office to order turkeys, Aldi cards and Payless shoe cards. Forms will be available on line on the Presbytery website to download and return to the Presbytery Office with your request. The Presbytery of Philadelphia will also continue to receive donations from churches and individuals in the Presbytery to support the Hunger Fund.
The Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of Philadelphia under the leadership of Grace Marable will provide oversight of the Care Closets through site visits designed to offer resources, educational and networking opportunities and volunteer support.
Your ministry is unique for each location within our bounds, but it is our desire to bring all leaders together twice annually to share and exchange information and to share current information and opportunities for the hunger community. The first meeting will be held early in 2015.
