Seeing Jesus in John’s Gospel (from the Being Reformed: Faith Seeking Understanding series) (Susan Hylen)

The Gospel of John presents many portraits of Jesus including many that employ metaphors. This study introduces us to the fantastically rich ways John’s Gospel sees Jesus. Through the images of tabernacle, giver of living water, bread of life, good shepherd, resurrection and life, and Passover offering, we gain insights into who Jesus was seen to be, what the meanings of these metaphors were to the Gospel readers, and what they can mean for our Christian faith today.
