The Nurture Team is composed of a fairly diverse cross-section of the presbytery and is generally balanced along theological, urban/suburban, racial-ethnic, gender, age, church size and lay/ordained lines.  As such, it has a good representation of the presbytery and of the issues, realities, challenges, blessings and needs confronting it.

They are tasked with supporting congregations of the presbytery in the ministries that are common to most or all congregations (e.g., Christian education, officer training, evangelism, stewardship).  Based on the experience of the Team’s members in their home churches and within other congregations with which they are familiar, the works together and through small groups to discern the needs present within and among our churches

Presently the Nurture Team works in small groups in the following areas:

  • Youth Ministry
  • Faith Formation
  • Leadership Development
  • Congregational Communication
  • Congregational Stewardship
  • Evangelism

The Congregational Nurture Team also has oversight of the Presbytery Resource Center.
