The Congregational Outreach and Mission Partnership Team was created in response to the reorganization of the Presbytery of Philadelphia in 2006 and its adoption of a Missional Plan that recognized “congregations as the primary locus of God’s mission and ministry” and which called for the development of collaboration teams and partnerships among congregations to further the outreach of its congregations into the local community and around the world.
The mission of the Congregational Outreach and Mission Partnership Team is to find ways to encourage and facilitate these missional efforts of congregations by providing information and (where appropriate) organizational support to the congregations. We are also charged with oversight of some of the missional partnerships sponsored directly by the Presbytery of Philadelphia.
