The initial meeting of the NE Regional Commi
ssion will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Our meeting will be held at Rydal Park which is located in Rydal, PA. Registration is at Noon, with light refreshments. The business will begin at 1 P.M.
The new Design is challenging us to be creative in our approach, open to new and different formats, to be more relational and less structured. As the Leadership Team has been meeting, we have been looking for opportunities to do just that in the hopes that as a region we can become more inclusive, that as a region we can become a community that shares what works well, that as a region we can develop programs that we can work on together.
The President of the Board of Trustees at my church once was asked this question: Why are the Trustees so reluctant to change? He replied that they were no opposed to change, they simply preferred folding money. We need to ask ourselves this question also and I hope our answer will be a resounding No, we are not opposed to change and are actually looking forward to discovering what new thing God has in store for our churches, for our region, for our presbytery.
I hope to see you on Tuesday May 22 as we start something new.
