Thanks to God Whose Word Was Written!

“Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.” Luke 1:1-4

The first Clerks’ Roundtable we hosted was primarily to say a Thank You for all you do to our hard working Clerks of Session.  It is meant to be a way of providing a forum for presentations/resources of interest to clerks of session and offering an opportunity for clerks to develop relationships with one another so that they have colleagues with which to share best practices and support in this singular ministry.

Since the denomination’s standards for record-retention are developed and regulated through the PHS here in Philadelphia, he was able to come and give us the definitive answers to these questions, the rationale behind them, and hear from clerks “on the front line.”

We had good attendance and discussion from our Clerks and I am grateful for all of you as we journey together in the ministry of “Telling our Story”.  As promised here are the resources from our first meeting:
