 three-angelsweb2The Guests of Abraham

I saw three angels seated at the table
Radiant and calm and wise and wholly real
As we, who stumble here, are quite unable
To be or know ourselves.  If they will heal
Our broken bones, heal fish and meat
And bread and wine, heal wounds of mortal flesh,
Then may we take the lower seat
And join the throng, and side by side enmesh
The ill, the whole, the old, the young; and be
A single body, breaking fallen time,
A part of this creating Trinity
Wiser than reason, lowly and sublime,
I saw three angels standing at my door.
Come in!  Come in! As you have done before.
The Weather of the Heart,

Greetings,

The Coordinating Team of the Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Philadelphia PW Webextend greetings and gratitude for your faithfulness.  This faithfulness brings hope to many that you will never meet but are grateful for the shared ministry among us.  We are all God’s people in a world of many complex days, and this message is to simply update you for the new year of PW participation.

After our CT Meeting on July 22, look for more information about planned events.  We plan each program based on the information shared through Churchwide.  Each year the agenda changes, but our real reason for gathering is to honor God together.

Please save these dates on your calendar to join others from the Presbytery of Philadelphia to celebrate Presbyterian Women.

  • Fall Gathering: September 27, 2014, Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Bring a sandwich.
  • Christmas Mission Luncheon: December 6, 2014, Oxford Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tea sandwiches and Cookies provided by Regions
  • Spring Gathering: April 11, 2015, Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch provided.

We are grateful to the Presbytery of Philadelphia and the office staff for their work among us.  The enews is a great way for all of us to know happenings throughout the Presbytery.   Great Thanks to all who represented the Presbytery at the 221st General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S,A.)

Be encouraged and know that Presbyterian Women will continue to find ways to empower and protect those without voice.

Pray for us.  We pray for you.

Wishing you a blessed summer,
