The growing season: reaping the bountiful harvest

Wanting to root themselves more fully in their community, Lansdowne Presbyterian Church, leveraged one of their greatest untapped resources, their open lawn, to invite people to come plant in their community garden.  In creating space for neighbors and church members to come together, sowing seeds, not just for plants and vegetables, but for a deeper connection with others.  Stewarding the land in partnership with newcomers and experienced gardeners, enabling everyone to connect with the earth.  As each growing season comes and goes, they have continued to reap the bounty of people fed, relationships strengthened, and faith lived out.  As they share their journey, we hope that you will be inspired to think creatively on how you might use your property to engage your community.
