Earlier this week, a commissioner friend of mine said, “Humans are so human.” As I’ve experienced my first GA thus far, I find myself in deep gratitude of our humanity.

Collective discernment of the Spirit— listening for the still, small voice leading the Church into what’s next— isn’t an easy thing for us humans, but we keep trying. I’ve seen such beauty in the trying and the trying again over the last couple of days, and have found myself in gratitude for God’s humanity— for the way that the work of Jesus allows us to try and try again.
