For our May gathering, Coming to the Table invites you to the #FreedomWalk2026 Concert at Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church on Sunday, May 17, at 3:00 PM. The concert will be followed by a reflective walk from Mother Bethel A.M.E. to the President’s House/Slavery Memorial.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the Fourth of July, we pause to remember that freedom has not been experienced equally by all. This gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate freedom while also honoring truth, history, and the ongoing journey toward justice. In that spirit, we lift up not only Independence Day, but also Juneteenth, as we reflect on a broader story of liberation and hope.
