Beacon Church Artistic Liberties: Just as in Acts 2, we sense the Holy Spirit creatively stirring up our congregation and sending us out into the world to preach good news to our surrounding community in a diversity of ways. Just as the disciples spoke in a variety of languages, the Community Art Series can provide a platform for diverse artistic expressions, such as music, theater, dance, and spoken word, reflecting the richness of human experience.
Carmel Presbyterian Church Literacy Program: Ephesians 4:12, which states, “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” This passage highlights the importance of providing individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their calling and contribute to the flourishing of the community.
Memorial Presbyterian Church of Fox Chase Senior Luncheon Program: The story of the Feeding of the 5,000 (Luke 9:10-17) grounds our luncheon program. Jesus shocks the disciples by saying, “You give them something to eat.” Through their resources, Jesus blessed, broke, and gave this mordaciously multiplication of food to the disciples to hand out to the crowd.
Oxford Presbyterian Church Silver Tech Boot Camp: Luke 5:4-6, Opening our hearts and doors and sharing an abundance of gifts, talents and resources, including the students’ personal drive and commitment not only met their physical needs but some spiritual ones.
Swarthmore Presbyterian Church First Place: This is a ministry that is shaped in our understanding of welcome and care for those who are vulnerable, seeking a new home in a strange land and having to trust that there is goodness, even in a new place and among new people. Jesus solidifies this command, calling His followers to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.”
Valley Forge Presbyterian Church Full Choice Pantry: The Matthew 25 Parable of the Talents and the Sheep/Goats have been the theological lynch pin of our discernment. We are striving to be those good and faithful servants whose fruitfulness brings us into a new season of Godly joy and enables us to faithfully serve the least of our sisters and brothers with a Christlike love of neighbor.
