Greetings to our Clerks of Session, August 27, 2014

Clerks Banner
I hope your summer has been enjoyable, with time for rest and relaxation.  It’s hard to believe we are gearing up for the fall and a new year of church programs!

I want to thank all the Clerks who have had their records read and all those who have helped by opening up their churches for reading sights.  Thank you for your commitment.

It has come to my attention that we have experienced a couple of missed reading times and I do apologize to those dedicated Clerks who were not able to get their records read yet.  If you missed a meeting time and other reading sights are not convenient for you, please contact Betsi Moise at the Presbytery Center (ext. 329).  As a Ruling Elder who served as a Clerk of Session before, she can help with readings and/or help you to coordinate a reading time that will work for you.

Some have also found it convenient to have a one-on-one meeting with another Clerk.  In this case, they send a copy of the green and yellow review sheets to the office (Attn: Betsi Moise) after their records have been read and we then send out the appropriate stickers.

Within the new design, we are working through some glitches, but, as always, we figure out ways to get our work done and we are blessed to have such a wonderful group of Clerks.

There is still one more month in which to schedule your church records reading, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call my assistant, Betsi Moise.  We are here to help!

Again, thank you for your service to your churches! As we enter into the fall, with Christian Education Week, a Season of Peace and the many programs and events that define our congregations, may the Holy Spirit be in you and all you do.

Blessings,

Kevin
