Hurricane,Tropical Storm, Earthquake  and Wildfire Relief Resources

We have provided numerous resources below for individuals and congregations who seek to support relief efforts in light of Hurricanes,  Tropical Storms, Earthquakes and Wildfires.  The needs related to relief and recovery in regions throughout California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Mexico, Puerto Rico and other affected regions are both immediate and on-going. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance serves on the front lines of national and international work whenever natural disasters strike and is our first recommendation for those interested in embodying the love and compassion of Christ. As you engage in relief efforts, keep the Presbytery staff up to date so we can share with others interested and explore the possibilities of joint ventures to the region. Click here for a full contact list of Presbytery staff.

The Trustees of the Presbytery of Philadelphia, with the support of the Leadership Collegium, recently made a $25,000 contribution from restricted funds to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico. We encourage all our congregations to continue to support and pray for PDA and their response to recent natural disasters plaguing our nation and world, be they earthquakes, storms, or wild fires. We give thanks for our churches who have already responded generously to God’s call.

We also encourage congregations to consider collaborating with others in your region and ecumenically in your neighborhood to make an even greater impact.
