Invitation to Generosity as We Come Alongside the People of Ukraine

Our Mission Dollars at Work

This past Tuesday, the Leadership Collegium of the Presbytery of Philadelphia approved contributing $10,000 to the Synod of the Trinity’s Stand with Ukraine matching fund challenge in support of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) efforts to come alongside our siblings in Ukraine.  Thanks to the Synod’s generosity, our contribution will result in $20,000 towards bringing support and encouragement to a war-torn nation.

We are grateful for your covenantal mission dollars that allow us to do this.

It is evident that the ongoing violence and loss of life occurring in Ukraine will continue, with additional people being displaced internally as well as internationally.  Our prayerful presence is a statement of solidarity with all siblings around the globe who find themselves in places of war, injustice and violence.

Other Ways to Contribute to Crisis in Ukraine and Around the World

We remind you of the ways you can continue to support the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance efforts in the next few weeks and months.

  • The Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is responding to the crisis in Ukraine by providing emergency humanitarian aid such as food, shelter, medicines, diapers, and hygienic items. If you would like to donate directly to the PDA’s support of Ukraine please designate gifts to DR000156 or you can simply text PDAUKF to 41444. (https://pda.pcusa.org/)
  • The Presbyterian Church (USA)’s One Great Hour of Sharing annual offering earmarks 32% of total receipts for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.  This offering continues to be collected through Easter Sunday, April 17th.  (https://specialofferings.pcusa.org/offering/oghs/ )

May we continue to give generously of our time, talents and treasure to reflect the transformative presence and power of Christ in this time and place.
