The Ministry Incubator of The Presbytery of Philadelphia connects six seminary students with three local congregations, two students per site. As a part of this pilot initiative, seminary students will be mentored at both the congregational and presbytery level and nurtured within a peer cohort. During the course of the eight-month program, seminary students, local congregations, and presbytery leadership will work in partnership to nurture contextualized and intentional ministry efforts alongside neighbors in the community. Along the way, students will develop and utilize their unique gifts as they discover and live into their call as the next generation of Christian leaders.
The Ministry and Leadership Incubator launches in September 2015. Over the course of the academic year, Presbytery staff and three pastors from within the Presbytery of Philadelphia will meet with the cohort of students at Princeton Seminary. The Fall gatherings will focus on what they are observing and what they can teach us about church mission and ministry. The Spring gatherings will focus on what our Presbytery and church leadership can offer them through resources and pastoral leadership development. Along the way, we are confident the Spirit will stir among us as we venture forward as the people of God together.
