Bryn Mawr Seeks Full-Time Associate Pastor for Congregational Care

Posted on: September 20, 2024

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church seeks to cultivate an atmosphere of loving support among the whole congregation. In this context, the primary calling of the Associate Pastor of Congregational Care is to coordinate pastoral care efforts of the Pastors, Care Team (Parish Nurse, Social Worker and Director of the Middleton Counseling Center (MCC)) and Deacons to support members in need of care through hospital and home visitation, grief counseling, and sharing seasons of joy and concern. As the pastor overseeing the work of the Senior Adult Council and with a pastoral focus on senior adults, congregational care is extended through programmatic offerings such as classes, fellowship, field trips and service opportunities. This pastor will help coordinate the Connections small group ministry which offers participants spiritual nurture, a sense of belonging and support through lay-led weekly gatherings. In collaboration with BMPC’s Pastors, Deacons, Care Team and church members, the Associate Pastor for Congregational Care helps affirm those who are engaged in the life of the church, support them in their faith and deepen their commitment as disciples of Jesus Christ.
