Crutchfield at the luncheon. The service began with the entrance of the guest led by Bagpiper Kenneth Sutherland, Pipe Sergeant for the Washington Memorial Pipe Band, based out of the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA playing “Come, Thou Font of Every Blessing”. Many members of Rev. Smith’s former churches as well as family members traveled to Ridley Park to surprise Rev. Smith. They offered thanks and in some cases the gift of their musical talents. Congregations past and the present congregation gave thanks for “Pastor Mike” who has blessed so many lives over the course of his ministry.
